Programs & Schedule

 Programs

  • Offering recreational classess and competitive training in a small class setting for dancers 3yrs & up 
  • Classes are 1 hour and have on average 4-6 dancers.
  • Tiny Tots (3 & 4 yrs) classes are 30 mins.
  •  Dancers are prepared for annual SDTA medal testing
  • Attire: bodysuits, or bike shorts and tank tops, ghillies; new dancers are permitted to wear ballet slippers  

                     

Tiny Tots Program:  Dancers are taught arm and foot positions, basic movements, and develop balance and music awareness.  Dances: Pas de Basques and Pas de Basques & High Cuts.   

Beginner Program:  Dancers are taught arm and feet positions, basic and advance movements.  Greater emphasis is placed on turnout and timing.  Dances: Fling, Sword, S.T. Lilt, Flora, Reel

Competitive Program: Dancers attend two 1 hour classes each week.  Greater emphasis is placed on refining positional work and movements.  Dancers are provided with weekly practise sheets that provide feedback as to what needs to be improved on and of course what they are doing correctly!
